Snapchat Remixing

I was recently asked about a previously available method of "saving" Snapchats without notifying the sender that they were being saved. The method was apparently possible by "remixing" a received Snapchat and then saving the Snapchat as a sticker.
In testing, I found this was very easy to do. To remix a received Snapchat the user must click the vertical ellipsis in the top right corner upon opening it.

After clicking the vertical ellipsis, the user will be presented with several options, one of which being "Remix Snap"

When the user clicks this option, Snapchat will try to detect a face while setting the received Snapchat as the background. The user can then click the large, circular, center button to capture a new "remixed" Snapchat.

After this, the user will essentially have created a new Snapchat of the received Snapchat. They will then be able to create a sticker by clicking the scissors icon on the right side.

This will then allow the user to select the area to create as a sticker. The user can select a portion of the Snapchat or the entire Snapchat to be saved as a sticker.

This will save the selected portion as a sticker so that it can be "saved" in the users' stickers options.
I did however notice that on the sender device, I was notified that the Snapchat was remixed.

I contacted Snapchat and asked them if Snapchat has ever not notified senders of remixed Snapchats. Snapchat responded by stating that "Snap introduced Snap Remix notifications in 1:1 chats during the second half of 2024 (around Late August)."
This would mean that prior to August of 2024, a user could remix a Snapchat to save it without notifying the sender.
